Judy Tharpe was recognized as the Department of Medicine employee of the month in April 2015. She has been at UVA for 20 years and worked for 18 of them in the medical center. She has been in the Division of Nephrology since 2008. Judy is widely admired by her co-workers and colleagues. She has been described as “understanding,” “compassionate,” “pivotal in helping the Division of Nephrology meeting guidelines for CME certification,” and “absolutely positive attitude.”

Dawn Kidd was awarded the Department of Medicine award for Administrative Excellence. In addition, Dawn represented the Division in the Department of Medicine recently sponsored a volunteer build day with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville.

Andrea Johnson, Grants & Contracts Manager, joined the division and CIIR and will provide critical support in the division’s research effort. Andrea joined the Division of Nephrology from the Department of Medicine’s Infectious Disease division. Prior to her work there, she was at Johns Hopkins’ Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center for 10 years.
