Dr. Foster recently completed her first year in the Hematology-Oncology fellowship program. She comments:

“Our work at the Emily Couric Cancer Center is both important and personally inspirational. I approach medicine like a complex puzzle that has to be understood and solved. The decisions that we make on behalf of our patients are serious. And this is exactly where I want to be… as a member of a team that makes smart and difficult calls for patients who need us to do our best work for each one of them as individuals. I want to be in the middle of the most challenging cases; I think that’s why I’m interested in malignant hematology. I have the opportunity to treat very sick people; and for some, like the acute leukemics, there’s a chance for a cure. That’s just awesome!”
