Faculty Honors

• Shu Man Fu was honored with the Distinguished Basic Investigator Award from the American College of Rheumatology (ACR).  The award is given to a basic scientist who is making outstanding contributions to the field of rheumatology.

• Donald Kimpel was included on the 2013 Best Doctors in America list.

New Faculty

Two new faculty members will join Rheumatology in July 2013 as assistant professors of medicine:

• Caroline D’Souza, MBBS, completed a two-year rheumatology fellowship at UVA; she has strong interests in patient care and teaching.

• Jeffrey Potter, MD, completed a two-year rheumatology fellowship at New York University; he brings special expertise in the area of musculoskeletal ultrasound.
