Chief: Janet Lewis, MD

The Division of Rheumatology completed its first full year in FY 2014 with Janet Lewis, MD, at the helm as full-time division chief.

The division experienced a year of growth, with the addition of new clinical faculty members Jeffery Potter, MD, and Caroline D’Souza, MBBS, and an expansion of clinical activities. The demand for rheumatologic evaluation and management has grown, and Dr. D’Souza and Dr. Potter have been instrumental in providing greater access to clinical services.

The division’s increased capacity has resulted in demonstrable improvement in access to care, as well as enhanced services for patients with rheumatic diseases.  In anticipation of continued clinical growth in FY 2015, the division added another new faculty member in summer 2014, Adam Carlson, MD.
