The Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism is a top-tier academic program with a nationally respected fellowship training program and internationally recognized clinical and scientific expertise. Our faculty and staff strive to excel in every aspect of our core missions: clinical care, education, research and community service.

As the incidence of diabetes and obesity continues to rise in the U.S., the division is working hard to ensure it meets the needs, and exceeds the expectations, of the patients it serves. The division’s quality initiatives focus largely on proactive management of these chronic diseases, with a goal of leading the UVA Health System in quality metrics.
