  • Brian Annex received a new RO1 award ($406k/year) to study gene therapy; he also has an ongoing UH3 award ($389k/year) to study aspects of peripheral arterial disease.
  • Jaime Bourque received a K-award (“Assessment of perfusion reserve and effects of exercise in microvascular angina”).
  • Jessica Connelly received a five-year, $160k Program Project Grant (“Developmental Consequences of Birth Interventions”) from the NIH’s National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
  • Alexander Klibanov is co-PI on a new Astra Zeneca award (“Ultrasound-triggered drug delivery with acoustically active red blood cells”).
  • Christopher Kramer received $14.4 million award from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) for the study, “HCMR [Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry ]: Novel Predictors of Prognosis in Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.” It includes 40 study sites in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, and 2750 patients.
