Division of Rheumatology:
CLINICAL

The Division of Rheumatology continues to maintain an active clinical presence, caring for patients with a range of diseases in the outpatient setting as well as providing inpatient consultation.  The addition of new faculty in FY 2014 has resulted in a significant expansion of clinical activities and improved access to rheumatologic care.

After remaining fairly level since 2011, the division experienced a 35% increase in wRVUs over 2013, the highest level of clinical productivity since 2008. Total patient encounters also increased by approximately 16% over the past year, and improved by 41% since 2011.  FY 2014 was the highest-volume year for patient encounters in the past 10 years.
