Division of General Medicine, Geriatrics and Palliative Care:
RESEARCH

Thanks to $1.6 million in grant funding from organizations such as the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation, and the Macy Foundation, to name a few, members of the division have been successful in advancing initiatives related to areas such as patient safety and quality, chronic illness, wisdom in medicine, competency-based education, the culture of academic medicine, historical discrimination, bioethics, and palliative care.
