Faculty Honors
- Shu Man Fu received the 2013 School of Medicine Dean’s award for “Excellence in Faculty Research.”
- Shu Man Fu was also appointed associate director of UVA’s Center for Immunity, Inflammation & Regenerative Medicine, as of December 2013.
- Donald Kimpel was recognized on the 2014 Best Doctors in America list.
New Faculty
Two new faculty members joined Rheumatology in July 2013 as assistant professors of medicine:
- Caroline D’Souza, MBBS, completed a two-year rheumatology fellowship at UVA; she has strong interests in patient care and teaching.
- Jeffrey Potter, MD, completed a two-year rheumatology fellowship at New York University; he brings special expertise in the area of musculoskeletal ultrasound.
