Division of Cardiovascular Medicine
FACULTY RECRUITMENT, RECOGNITION & SERVICE

Cardiovascular faculty serve in numerous leadership roles in the School of Medicine, and many are included on annual lists of top U.S. physicians.

During FY 2015, the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine completed a restructuring of leadership for its many nonprocedural areas. Amy Tucker, MD, was appointed medical director of the Outpatient Clinic and medical director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation service, and she will continue to serve as director of consultative cardiology for the division. Andrew Buda, MD, helped guide and oversee the transition in leadership of the ambulatory clinic, from Allan Simpson, MD, who retired, to Dr. Tucker.

Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Awards “Gold Medal” to Christopher Kramer, MD

The Society’s citation read, in part:

“Christopher Kramer has been at the forefront of training and mentoring … CMR clinician researchers through an NIH/NIBIB Training Grant he has successfully held since 2005. Many of his trainees have gone on to establish highly productive and widely recognized CMR centers of their own. Dr. Kramer has given many years of highly distinguished and extraordinary service to the field of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and to the Society – and will no doubt continue to do so.”
