Honored this year by the American Cancer Society, Leslie Blackhall, MD, received the prestigious Lane Adams Quality of Life Award, which recognizes individuals who provide what Lane Adams, a longtime American Cancer Society executive vice president, describes as the “warm hand of service.” Seven individuals nationwide are selected for this award, which honors the “unsung heroes” of cancer care.
